The iRacing 24 Hours of Daytona

It's been nearly a year since I've done an Official Race on iRacing - the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hours was my last appearance, driving for CQR Club.

That'll change next weekend as I'm taking to the track with Zansho Simsport once again in their absolutely beautiful Ferrari 488 GTE for the 2021 iRacing 24 Hours of Daytona! I'm very pleased to be taking part in the event as it was the first ever endurance race I did on the service, back in 2016 under the Last Minute Racing banner.

I'll be sharing the car with Aidan Millward and Matt Webb. It'll be our first time racing together as a trio, but as I've found out before, that holds no negative implications in events like this - you get plenty of time to - for lack of a better word - bond. The guys have already got work under way setup-wise, whereas I've been unable to test until now.

I'll potentially be streaming parts of the race but as you can understand, connection to the race server needs to take priority. Aidan will most likely be streaming his stints either way, so hopefully some of you can jump on board to follow our progress. Away from streaming though, it's a real chance for me to prove myself to the team after only running a couple of rounds of the VMO TCUK and Sunday Drivers Cup since joining in August.

It'll be my third 24 Hours of Daytona, after completing the race in 2017 with Steve Burke and Tom Jacobs at Thrust Vector - it doesn't feel like 4 years since then...

Anyway, let's get testing and see how we do! I'll be posting updates on my Twitter feed more than anything, with a couple across Facebook and Instagram.
