It is with great regret that I write to inform you that the second planned season of the Chaz Draycott Media European Touring Car Championship has been cancelled.
After a great first season racing the Kia Optima GTS in a two-race "Sprint and Feature" format, the championship was geared up to switch to TCR cars and a very quick-fire format featuring heat racing, consolations and a final feature race.
Unfortunately the entries required to put on such an event would need to be a very precise number, but there has been a very disappointing amount of entries received so far, and with the time frame before everything was scheduled to kick off in mind, the plug has had to be pulled.
I would like to thank all of those that took their time to register, especially those that are always so loyal to the CDM series, and apologise for the fact that there will no longer be any racing.
There are plenty of great TCR leagues all over the iRacing community, and Monday nights are an especially busy time for sim racing leagues, so it was always going to be a long shot, but it's one that had to be taken. Hopefully we'll go again another time.
