Formula Renault 3.5 Championship Shaping Up

Only 4 days after announcing the CDM Formula Renault 3.5 Championship, the current entry list stands 25 strong, far exceeding the expectations from myself and a couple of other competitors. The idea was only a bit of fun off the back of a successful CDM Boremula 1 World Championship, but it's gotten rolling very quickly.

It's only a couple of weeks until the first race meeting gets under way, and the hype has been building in the Chaz Draycott Media Discord, with drivers beginning to practice and compare lap times - some of which have only done a handful of laps in the car but are loving it. It was described as "stable with enough going on to keep you awake" while the braking capability is being called "ridiculous".

If you've been considering joining the championship then come on in - there's still plenty of room on the grid, and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere already surrounds the virtual paddock. I'll give you the TLDR in case you haven't read the rulebook yet or seen any previous news;

- £10 Entry Fee

- Fixed, Baseline High Downforce Setup

- 8 Race Meetings, 16 Races @ 75km (~25min) each

- Reverse grid of 10 for Race 2

- Two-car teams eligible for the Teams Championship

If you're interested you can fill out the entry form at this page on my website, and pay the entry fee at the link below at least 72 hours before the first race session of the season goes live on iRacing.

Thank you to everyone that's supported the series so far - it's been great to see people from all corners of iRacing and its wonderful community coming to enjoy this spectacular car.
