Sports 2000 Championships Keep Me on for 2021!

If you've been following my commentary ventures you'll know that I was the Official Series Commentator for the 2020 Sports 2000 Championships. I had an absolutely incredible season with them and fell in love with the series and the great atmosphere behind it.

Everyone I met was great to speak to and happy to chat about their cars, the racing and everything in between! It also gave me a more in-depth view of club racing in the UK and all of the aspects involved - the cost, the logistics, the organisation, everything.

I'm so grateful for them giving me my first ever full season of real life commentary and now I've got chance to be even more grateful as a phone call with series Secretary Roger Donnan in mid-November confirmed that they'd like to retain me for 2021!

I can't tell you how excited I am to go into another year of great racing with everyone, especially as I've now developed my knowledge of the drivers, cars and overall championship mechanics. There are some changes coming, as there always is, but I'll be making sure I'm better prepared to call the action with confidence this year.

The Calendar is looking spicy too - a visit to my favourite and local circuit Oulton Park gets a huge thumbs up, with a trip to Cadwell planned as well! It's looking like I'll be commentating on my Birthday at Brands Hatch again which gets me all giddy. Obviously, this is all in the hope of returning to some form of normality as the year progresses, so dates and venues are subject to change, but the faith and confidence the championship has in me, means so much.

I'll try to keep the website updated with my ventures across the country with this great championship, but make sure that you keep an eye on their website too for my write-ups after each round and my social media channels below for more frequent updates.
